Assistant Aquatics Supervisor

Assistant Aquatics Supervisor Job Announcement

The Position: The Hood River Valley Parks & Recreation District is seeking an assistant aquatics supervisor. The ideal candidate will be LGI and AFO or CPO certified and assist in managing pool staff, overseeing daily operations, helping to coordinate programs, providing excellent customer relations, and will be ready to jump in the pool or go up on the lifeguard stand when needed. The assistant supervisor reports to the aquatic supervisor.

About us: The Hood River Valley Parks and Recreation District manages the Hood River Aquatic Center, community recreation programs and youth sports, seven parks, and six miles of trails. We are a small team of seven full-time employees and 30 part-time and seasonal employees.

Compensation: This is a part-time, non-exempt position, with an hourly pay range between $18.13 - $24.49, DOE.

Special Requirements:
American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, First Aid and CPR, Lifeguard Instructor Preferred, AFO or CPO Preferred. HRVPRD will certify and train as needed.

Schedule: Varied work schedule about 30 hours a week that may include evenings, early mornings, and weekends without advanced planning. Interested applicants should send a cover letter and resume to jobs@hoodriverparksandrec.org.

Lifeguard:
